Strengthening Behavioral Health Care Through Our Beyond Medicine™ Approach
At AbsoluteCare, we believe better outcomes start by seeing the whole person.
“Integrating behavioral health and social supports into primary care is one of the greatest opportunities to improve quality, reduce avoidable utilization, and address unmet member needs.”
That’s the foundation of our Beyond Medicine™ approach. Medical conditions, behavioral health needs, and social factors are deeply connected, especially for people living with serious mental illness (SMI) or substance use disorders (SUD). When those needs are addressed together, people have a greater opportunity to thrive.
That’s why we’re excited to welcome Dr. Aderonke Omotade as our new Medical Director for Integrated Psychiatry.
Dr. Omotade joins AbsoluteCare at a time when behavioral health has never been more important. Across the country, health plans, providers, and communities are searching for more effective ways to support individuals with complex behavioral health needs. Too often, care is fragmented, leaving people to navigate separate systems for physical health, mental health, and social support.
AbsoluteCare was built to do things differently.
Through integrated primary care, behavioral health, pharmacy services, and social supports, we help members receive coordinated care in one place, from one team. Our specialized clinical pathway for individuals living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders is designed to address both immediate needs and long-term health outcomes.
Dr. Omotade’s experience will help us continue expanding and strengthening that work.
A board-certified psychiatrist and internist, she brings more than 15 years of experience leading behavioral health programs across community, hospital, emergency, and integrated care settings. Most recently, she served as Medical Director for People Encouraging People, where she oversaw mental health and substance use treatment programs and helped shape clinical strategy and operations.
Throughout her career, Dr. Omotade has focused on improving care for individuals with complex behavioral health needs. Her leadership experience spans Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), behavioral health homes, psychiatric emergency services, and consultation-liaison psychiatry, reflecting a deep commitment to caring for some of healthcare’s most vulnerable populations.
“Integrating behavioral health and social supports into primary care is one of the greatest opportunities to improve quality, reduce avoidable utilization, and address unmet member needs,” said Dr. Anoop Raman, Chief Clinical Officer at AbsoluteCare. “As health plans look for proven solutions for members with serious mental illness and substance use disorders, we continue to invest in the integrated care models and specialized clinical pathways that make a difference. Dr. Omotade’s leadership will help us advance that work.”
For Dr. Omotade, joining AbsoluteCare was an opportunity to be part of a model that fully embraces whole-person care. “What drew me to AbsoluteCare is its commitment to treating the whole person and addressing the medical, behavioral, and social factors that shape health,” she said. “I’m excited to join a team that is leading the way in caring for some of the most vulnerable populations in our healthcare system.”
As Medical Director for Integrated Psychiatry, Dr. Omotade will help further integrate behavioral health across AbsoluteCare’s care model while supporting the continued growth of programs for members living with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and other complex conditions.
