Behavioral Health Care

We are the sum of our parts. So when one part of us is in need of attention, the rest of us will likely chime in. Over half of the AbsoluteCare member population suffers from behavioral health conditions, including mental health and substance use challenges, which can negatively affect their quality of life and weaken their ability to recover from adverse health events. Our small member panels allow us to spend ample time with each member to assess for behavioral health conditions and needs. This allows our integrated care teams to develop a person-centered care plan that includes behavioral health services.

Mental Health
Mental Health

Many of our members struggle with depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions. We offer behavioral health care management, therapy, and psychiatry support, which may include medication-assisted treatment, to meet the needs of our members. We treat these conditions as we would any other physical health issue—with empathy and destigmatizing care.

Substance Use
Substance Use

Use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs can cause and contribute to physical and behavioral health problems, often resulting in significant impairment of daily functioning, including work, education, self-care, finances, and chronic condition management. To those affected by substance use, we extend the same care and non-judgmental treatment.

Peer-to-Peer Support
Peer-to-Peer Support

Our Community Health Workers (CHW) live in the neighborhoods we serve, many of them having overcome similar challenges as our members. They are trained to readily establish trust and confidence with members who may have had negative experiences with the traditional healthcare system. CHWs provide information and support and can accompany members to visits and can help connect them to community resources.
